What Makes a Trellis Internship Different?

Trellis was created by local church practitioners for the next generation of pastors and local church leaders. Our program seeks to empower men and women by equipping them with the practical training and formal education that will fully equip them for a lifetime of local church ministry. Our vision is to create the highest level of practical training with university level education without burying you, the student, in debt.

Students that are accepted into the internship will receive 3 years of church experience at a local church; these are our Hub sites. In year one, you will rotate through the various ministries of the local church (kids, youth, music, admin, etc.) giving you robust local church experience. In years two and three, you will have the opportunity to specialize in one of these areas for growth. This valuable hands-on, training experience is coupled with a specialized year-round class schedule from one of our partner universities. It’s important to note, the cost of tuition and books at our partner universities is covered contingent upon your completion of the Internship Program and placement into a vocational ministry position following graduation.

This program is considered full-time and includes housing options (specific to each location), tuition, books, and fees. Students are expected to provide food, gas, and other living expenses. There are a variety of creative ways students can address these financial needs during the program.
